ALL EU AND NON-EU COMPETITORS REQUIRE A VISITORS SHOTGUN PERMIT!
VISITORS' SHOTGUN PERMITS: All visitors, (including European visitors) wishing to bring a shotgun(s) into the UK require a Visitors' Shotgun Permit. Please visit the EU / Intl. Visitors Permit page and follow the instructions.
CARTRIDGES:
Cartridges are available from the Sportsman Gun Centre, situated on the shooting ground. Brands available: RC, Eley, Express. The Sportsman Gun Centre also stocks leading makes of guns and a comprehensive range of shooting clothing and accessories.
COMPETITION:
Double Trap: Minimum of 18 entrants required for the event
Trap: Minimum of 36 entrants required for the event
Skeet: Minimum of 36 entrants required for the event
SportTrap: Minimum of 60 entrants required for the event
The competition for Skeet, Trap and Double Trap will use Laporte traps throwing Clay Pigeon Company blaze clays. To be run under ISSF rules – with the exception of notes below:
NOTES:
Skeet and Trap:
Senior Men: 125 targets + flash final for top 6 Men
Junior Men & Women: 125 targets + flash final for top 6 Junior Men
Senior Women: 125 targets + flash final for top 6 Women
Class and Team prizes, ‘Most Improved’ prizes (see below)
There will be a Junior Women’s and a Junior Men’s class in Skeet and Trap if there is a minimum of 8 entries. If there are fewer than 8, Junior Women and Junior Men will shoot in the relevant class
Double Trap:
Senior Men: 150 targets + flash final for top 6 Men
Junior Men: 150 targets + flash final for top 6 Junior Men
There will be a Junior Men’s class in Double Trap if there is a minimum of 8 entries. If there are fewer than 8, Junior Men will shoot in the Senior Men’s class.
SportTrap:
SportTrap will run over four layouts consisting of sporting type targets to be run under CPSA rules.
PRIZES:
SportTrap: Classes and prizes will be dependant upon the level of entries, it being the first year of this event in the Britannia Grand Prix
Skeet, Trap and Double Trap: Each class will require a minimum of 8 entries for guaranteed prizes
Senior Men High Gun:
Kennedy Gunmakers Challenge Cup, Gold medal and prize will be awarded to the Senior Men High Gun. Silver Medal and prize and Bronze medal and prize will be awarded to the places.
Senior Women High Gun:
Kennedy Gunmakers Challenge Cup, Gold medal and prize will be awarded to the Senior Women High Gun, Silver Medal and prize and Bronze Medal and prize will be awarded to the places.Junior Men High Gun:
Kennedy Gunmakers Challenge Cup, Gold medal and prize will be awarded to the Junior Men High Gun, Silver Medal and prize and Bronze Medal and prize will be awarded to the places.
Veteran:
Gold medal and prize will be awarded to the highest placed Veteran (providing the veteran has not been placed gold, silver or bronze in a High Gun prize) with Silver and Bronze medals awarded to the places.
Individual:
All shooters who shoot the full competition, including Ladies, Juniors and Veterans, will be divided into 4 Classes (A, B, C, and D) and all prizes, except for the Britannia Grand Prix High Gun and Veteran prize winners, will be awarded within these 4 Classes. (Juniors: under 21 during 2009, Veterans: 55 or over on 12th May 2009). Unclassified shooters will be classified following the appropriate rules.
Collection of Prizes:
Trophies, medals and prizes will be awarded during or following the banquet on Sunday 19th April 2009. Any competitor not in attendance will forfeit their awards unless previously agreed with the organisers.
Open Team:
The Open Team event will be run concurrently. Each team will consist of 3 team members, all scores to count, open to any class of shooter, medals only.
Most Improved Shooter:
There will be a prize for the most improved shooter in Skeet, Trap and Double Trap. Each award will be decided by: The shooter in each category that adds the most number of targets to the previous year’s score at the Britannia Grand Prix. This will be open to SportTrap competitors in 2010
CPSA registered shoot: CPSA. members and non members are eligible to shoot the competition
TRANSPORT:
No official transport will be provided
REFEREES:
Three shooters from the preceding squad will remain on the range to act as Referee and Assistant Referees for the following squad. The Organising Committee will provide all Officials for the Finals and any Shoot-Offs. SportTrap competitors will not be required to referee.

Skeet, Trap and Double Trap: £75 (GBP) - Entry fee includes 'Welcome Pack' and banquet ticket
SportTrap: £45 (GBP) - 'Welcome Pack' and banquet ticket available separately

Any shooter that has not paid by 10th April 2009, will be deemed to have withdrawn from the event. Any shooter wishing to withdraw from the event will be reimbursed 50% of their entry fee if notification is received by 17.00hrs Tuesday 14th April 2009. Any shooter withdrawing from the event after 17.00 hrs Tuesday 14th April 2009 will forfeit their entry fee in full.
OPEN TEAM EVENT:
Teams of three shooters of any classification competing in the Britannia Grand Prix, shooters may compete in one team only. Open Team Entries Close 16.00 hrs on the days mentioned below for each specific discipline:
